"Bodhimanda" is a Pali word which translates as "ground (or pavilion) of Enlightenment".
One interpretation is the actual spot under the Bo Tree where the Buddha was seated when He achieved Enlightenment.
Another interpretation is that which supports the search for Enlightenment.
